Welcome, June! What are you focusing on this month? It has been a busy first half of the year, and sometimes we do not stop to replenish ourselves. June is the perfect month to reset and take some time to cultivate more joy.
Create a joy list. This is the simple practice of allowing yourself to experience what enlivens you. No purchase necessary; joy is readily available to you. Permit yourself to choose joy from moment to moment.
Begin Here:
- Brain Dump: allow yourself 15 minutes of quiet time to write what you would like to do more of this summer. If you get stuck, think back to a summer when you had a great time.
- Small things you can do each day: a 20-minute walk after dinner, write something you are grateful for on a post-it, create a summer vision board, put on your headphones and sing out loud, laugh for absolutely no reason, journal, start a puzzle, do mindful coloring, intentional breathing, or repeat your affirmations.
- Need more ideas? Read a good book, record your own inspirational audios using your voice, plant a garden, visit friends/family, go to the beach, listen to a new podcast, meet new people, organize a chat and chew with friends on the patio, do something new, host a game night, buy yourself some flowers or a plant, get out in nature, exchange a negative thought for a more empowering one, or find someone to encourage!
- Last: Be encouraged to cultivate more joy each day. Let your summer joy list be a reminder to REST, RELAX, AND RENEW.
