“Things turn out best for those who make the best of the way things turn out. ” – John Wooden
2020 was a lot of a lot, as my Goddaughter would say, and the start of 2021 was just as intense. Yet, we have been gifted a new year with new moments to create. The question is, what do you desire in 2021?
I came across the words above, and they resonated with me. John Wooden’s quote is a reminder that each moment offers opportunities to choose how we will respond to uncertainty. With or without chaos, beautiful experiences are still taking place; the key is to be aware.
It is challenging not to dwell on the events that we all have witnessed. Be open to acknowledging the lessons of 2020 with a commitment to move forward and reset. Dare to accept that your best moments are still unfolding. You have the power to create an amazing year; begin within.
Instead of rushing to create my vision board and select my word of the year, I set aside more time to gain clarity through journaling. Take some time to consider what is next for you without feeling rushed to keep up with the crowd. Remember John Wooden’s words, “Things turn out best for those who make the best of the way things turn out.” Embrace 2021’s invitation to do and see things differently.
